Jody Dublin, Ed.D.
Dr. Jody Dublin uses a strengths-based approach to help each student find what is right for them- be it a college, graduate program, or dissertation topic. She has several years experience working in higher education and has helped hundreds of students achieve their academic and professional goals.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Latin American & Caribbean Studies and American & Florida Studies from Florida State University. Dr. Dublin then went on to New York University to earn a Master’s in Counseling for Mental Health & Wellness. Finally, she earned her Doctor of Education in Higher & Postsecondary Education Administration; her research focused on how people choose to attend college. As such, Dr. Dublin is very passionate about college access and success for all populations of students.
Dr. Dublin has also worked in a variety of settings in higher education. Beginning her higher education career as a Resident Assistant at Florida State University, Dr. Dublin worked as a Coordinator for Housing Services and Greek Life at St. Joseph’s College in Brooklyn, New York after graduating with her Master’s degree. She then switched to working as an academic advisor and has held positions at California State University- Monterey Bay and New York University in this capacity. She has also spent time working the the career services arena and enjoys helping students construct their resume, prepare for interviews, and discover a meaningful career path.
In her role as an academic advisor, Dr. Dublin has advised students in the STEM fields, the humanities, and everything in between.
In her spare time, Dr. Jody Dublin loves to try cuisines from around the world, work out at the gym, and make gifts for family and friends. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
